Ultraman Takes Over American Dream With High Energy and Kaiju Showdowns
For two weekends in November, one of Japan’s most iconic heroes took over the American Dream shopping complex in New Jersey and turned into a fully immersive Ultraman experience. As Ultraman enters a new era of U.S. popularity, Bandai Namco and Tsuburaya Productions partnered with G7 to bring the franchise’s first American live battle show to life.
Ultraman LIVE delivered the kind of spectacle you typically only see at anime conventions or arena tours, yet G7 harnessed that energy inside a shopping center. Fans crowded the atrium and balconies for every performance as Ultraman Omega, Ultraman, and Ultraman Zero faced down Red King, Baltan, Gomora, Dada, and Eleking in full-intensity stunt battles layered with LED effects and theatrical storytelling rooted in Japan’s long-running battle stage tradition.
To introduce this format to U.S. audiences, G7 led creative development, operations, and production, working closely with Tsuburaya’s live show team to adapt choreography, staging, and story beats to the American Dream footprint. G7 collaborated with our sister agency GPJ, who fabricated the surrounding environment, including scenic elements, immersive displays, hands-on workshops, and a full retail area featuring Ultraman merchandise available in the U.S. for the first time.
Across nine days, fans moved through photo ops, trading card demos, diorama moments, and meet and greets with characters. Special guests Christopher Sean from Ultraman Rising and host Jacki Jing anchored the programming with crowd interaction and personal moments that made the show feel even more connected to the fandom.
The clearest measure of the experience is hearing fans describe it in real time, and this quick highlight reel captures that energy better than any recap could.
Ultraman LIVE arrives just ahead of the English language debut of the highly anticipated Ultraman Omega episodes and marks a major milestone in the franchise’s expanding U.S. footprint. For Bandai Namco, Tsuburaya, and thousands of visitors, the show became an entry point into the Ultra Universe. And for G7, it was an opportunity to help turn a global icon into a shared moment of pure fan excitement.
